If your station covers these hexes, you earn additional base rewards on top of your normal HEX rewards.

What Is an Area of Interest?

Areas of Interest are priority hexes identified by Mastchain.

They are visually highlighted on the coverage map and represent locations where additional network coverage is especially valuable.

When your station covers one of these hexes, you receive a reward bonus for that coverage.

You do not need to opt in. The system detects coverage automatically.

How the Bonus Works

Each Area of Interest hex carries a multiplier:

• +1.0x means you receive one additional base reward
• +2.0x means you receive two additional base rewards

This bonus is applied on top of your normal HEX reward calculation.

For example:

If you cover 5 hexes and one of them has a +2.0x bonus, your final reward will reflect both your base HEX reward and the additional Area of Interest bonus.

Where to See AOI Bonuses

You can identify Areas of Interest directly on the coverage map.

Highlighted hexes indicate bonus eligibility, with color intensity reflecting the bonus level.

• The bonus multiplier applied
• The Area of Interest bonus amount
• Your final calculated reward

Important Notes

Area of Interest bonuses:

• Are dynamic and may change over time
• Only apply when your station actively covers the marked hex
• Stack on top of your normal base rewards

If a hex is no longer marked as an Area of Interest, the bonus will no longer apply to that coverage.

Do I need to activate the Area of Interest bonus?

No. The bonus is applied automatically when your station covers a marked Area of Interest hex. There is nothing to configure or enable.

How do I know if I’m covering an Area of Interest hex?

Areas of Interest are highlighted directly on the coverage map. If your station overlaps with one of these marked hexes, the bonus will be reflected in your daily reward breakdown.

Can multiple Area of Interest bonuses stack?

Yes. If your station covers multiple bonus hexes, each eligible hex contributes to your final reward calculation according to its listed multiplier.

Does the Area of Interest bonus change my uptime or base HEX reward?

No. Uptime and base HEX rewards are calculated normally. The Area of Interest bonus is added on top of your standard reward calculation.
